Saint John Sea Dogs News Release

SAINT JOHN, NB --- The Saint John Sea Dogs, the Fort Howe Hotel/Hotel Courtenay Bay Hotel, and 97.3 FM The Wave/Country 94 have announced the details of an exciting joint promotion which will see one lucky fan win a 2009 G3 Pontiac Wave at this Sunday's home game versus the Halifax Moosheads. Seven fans will participate in an on-ice shooting challenge during Sunday's first intermission, with one participant guaranteed to walk away with the grand prize.

Throughout the coming week, two 97.3 FM The Wave/Country 94 listeners will be selected to compete in Sunday's contest, with three randomly selected Fort Howe Loyalty Club Members also set to participate. The sixth and seventh contestants will be selected from the crowd at random at some point during the first period on Sunday.

During Sunday's opening intermission, the seven fans selected for the challenge will take turns attempting increasingly difficult shots into an open net at Harbour Station. The contestant that is ultimately able to successfully shoot the puck into the net from the greatest distance will win the car.

Sunday's game (puck drop: 4pm) has been designated 'Fan Appreciation Day', with several in-arena giveaways set to be staged during Saint John's final regular season home contest of 2008-09. Furthermore, the afternoon's 50-50 jackpot is guaranteed to be at least $5,000.

The Sea Dogs also play at home on Wednesday of this week, with the P.E.I. Rocket set to invade Harbour Station for a 7pm match. A victory over P.E.I. will secure Saint John third place in the QMJHL Atlantic. Tickets to all Sea Dogs home games can be obtained by calling the arena box office at (506) 657-1234.
