JERSEY SHORE, NJ - Mitch Neunborn and four relievers combined on a one-hit shutout as the BlueClaws topped Hudson Valley 4-0 on Thursday night at ShoreTown Ballpark.

With the win, and Brooklyn's loss to Hudson Valley, the BlueClaws have pulled into a tie for first place with the Cyclones.

Neunborn retired the first 14 batters he faced in the game before allowing a walk and a hit batsman in the fifth. He struck out John Garcia, his ninth strikeout of the night, to end the fifth and his evening. Neunborn's night also included an immaculate inning - he struck out the side on nine pitches in the top half of the third.

The BlueClaws opened the scoring in the bottom of the third inning on a two-run single from Otto Kemp. The other two runs scored in the eighth on a two run double from Leandro Pineda.

In the meantime, Cam Wynne followed Neunborn and struck out four of the five batters he faced. Carlos Betancourt got the last out of the seventh. Austin Deming, however, got a hit off Jordi Martinez on the first pitch of the eighth inning, the lone Tourists hit in the game.

Matt Russell threw a scoreless ninth to preserve the shutout.

The BlueClaws have won 10 of their last 12 games and 19 of their last 24.

The teams continue their series on Friday night at 7:05 pm. LHP Samuel Aldegheri starts for the BlueClaws and there will be post-game fireworks.
