Nets Return Home and Defeat Bulls

LONG ISLAND - The Long Island Nets (17-14), the NBA G League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets, defeated the Windy City Bulls (14-19) 116-105 on Tuesday evening at Nassau Coliseum.

Long Island had an outstanding offensive game against the Bulls, as the team dished 23 assists while shooting 52.7 percent (39-of-74) from the field and 50 percent (18-of-36) from long range.

The Nets were led by guard Bryce Brown, who recorded 26 points while shooting 8-of-12 from distance in 25 minutes. Long Island guard Jordan Crawford tallied 23 points, five rebounds and five assists in 36 minutes. While on assignment with Long Island, Brooklyn center Day'Ron Sharpe added 21 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two blocks in 28 minutes.

Long Island took off in the first quarter as the team made 10 3-pointers. The Nets used their home court advantage to keep the Bulls at bay and closed the first period ahead by 21, 44-23. Windy City looked to battle back in the second quarter, but its efforts proved unsuccessful. Despite outscoring Long Island 29-24 in the second quarter, the Bulls continued to trail into halftime by 17, 68-51.

The Nets came into the third quarter looking to extend their hot streak, while the Bulls looked to close the gap. Long Island continued to dominate offensively and ended the third period ahead by 10, 82-72. Windy City entered the final quarter of play determined to make an impact, but Long Island stifled the effort. The Nets went on to defeat the Bulls by 11, 116-105.

Windy City was led by Chicago two-way forward Tyler Cook, who tallied a game-high 33 points to go along with eight rebounds in 26 minutes. Bulls two-way forward Malcolm Hill recorded 29 points, seven rebounds and three assists in 38 minutes.

The Nets will play their next game at home against Raptors 905 on Thursday, March 31, at 7 p.m. ET, while the Bulls will return home to face Capital City on Saturday, April 2, at 7 p.m. CT.
