NC Courage Announce Updates to Preseason Roster

North Carolina Courage News Release


Cary, NC - The North Carolina Courage have announced updates to the team's preseason roster. Paul Riley's team prepares for the NWSL Challenge Cup which is slated to begin April 9. Following Governor Cooper's Executive Order announced last week, the NC Courage will be able to host a limited number of fans for Challenge Cup games. More information will be announced following the Challenge Cup schedule release. NWSL key season dates and medical protocols can be found here.

Goalkeepers (3): Casey Murphy, Samantha Murphy, Katelyn Rowland

Defenders (11): Lindsay Agnew, Schuyler DeBree (NRI), Diane Caldwell (INT, NYR), Abby Erceg, Hailey Harbison, Kaleigh Kurtz, Merritt Mathias, Sinclaire Miramontez, Carson Pickett, Taylor Smith, Ryan Williams

Midfielders (8): Debinha (INT), Angharad James (INT, NYR), Hailie Mace, Denise O'Sullivan (INT), Peyton Perea (NRI), Cari Roccaro, Havana Solaun, Meredith Speck

Forwards (5): Elizabeth Addo (INT), Rylee Baisden, Kristen Hamilton, Jessica McDonald, Lynn Williams (ALL)

The NC Courage 2021 Draft Picks Deanne Rose, Alyssa Malonson, and Myra Conte will remain in college to compete for the Spring NCAA season, with the Courage retaining their NWSL rights.

Additionally, NC Courage captain Abby Erceg has obtained a Green Card and will no longer occupy an international spot on the Courage's roster.
