Santa Cruz Warriors News Release
SANTA CRUZ, CA - The NBA G League Up Next Game presented by AT&T will be held on Sunday, Feb. 18, at 10:30 a.m. PT at G League Park in NBA Crossover at the Indiana Convention Center. The game will stream live on the NBA G League YouTube page as well as the NBA App. Fans can vote for their favorite NBA G League players at NBAGLeague.com/vote. Voting opens on Tuesday, January 2 at 6:00 a.m. PT and closes Tuesday, January 23 at 8:59 p.m. PT.
Taking place during 2024 NBA All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis, IN, the NBA G League Up Next Game presented by AT&T will feature some of the top talent from across the NBA G League competing in a new tournament-style format. Four teams of seven players will be drafted from a pool of 28 NBA G League players, including 10 selected by fan vote. The remaining 18 players will be selected by the NBA G League and will include eight members of NBA G League Ignite and at least one member of the Indiana Mad Ants, the G League affiliate of the All-Star hosting Indiana Pacers. The four teams will compete in two semifinal games, and the winner of each semifinal will face off in a Championship game. Each team will be coached by a head coach from the NBA G League.
Each fan is able to vote for up to five players per ballot - three frontcourt players (forward and centers) and two backcourt (guards) players. All NBA G League contract players currently on rosters and NBA Two-Way players who have played in at least one game in the NBA G League are eligible to be selected. There is no limit to how many times a fan can vote, and fans will have to resubmit a new ballot for each entry.
Golden State Warriors forward Gui Santos was selected to the 2023 NBA G League Up Next Game roster. The former Santa Cruz Warriors player posted 15 points, four rebounds, and six assists across 17 minutes played in the game.
