Nashville SC News Release
NASHVILLE, TENN. - Nashville Soccer Club's Jalil Anibaba is the latest reading role model in Books Brothers, a Blueprint for Early Childhood Success initiative that brings together men of color to promote literacy and serve as reading role models.
Anibaba's story time will debut Monday, April 12 at 4 p.m., with an encore on Wednesday, April 14 at 4:00. His video story time, along with dozens of others, can be streamed at blueprintnashville.org/booksbrothers.
Books Brothers launched in mid-February and relies on volunteer readers to share quality children's books for Kindergarteners through third graders through video story times, with a focus on books that allow students of color to see themselves in the pages.
Books Brothers is a partnership of Nashville Public Library, My Brother's Keeper, Ingram Charities and United Way of Greater Nashville. To get involved, visit blueprintnashville.org/volunteer-books-brothers.
