Nashville SC Climbs Three Spots in USL Championship Power Rankings

TAMPA - Back-to-back wins have boosted Nashville SC up to No. 4 in the USL Championship Power Rankings for Week 26. The team is up three spots from last week after defeating the Tampa Bay Rowdies 2-1 in one of the most important road matches of the season. Heading into Saturday's match, Nashville SC and Tampa Bay were neck and neck in the Eastern Conference standings in third and second place, respectively. The Boys in Gold got the job done in their second straight victory to leap over the Rowdies into second place.
The East stays hot this week as four out of the five top teams in the Power Rankings coming from the Eastern Conference. With Phoenix Rising FC of the Western Conference in first, Indy Eleven, New York Red Bulls II, Nashville SC and Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC follow to round out the top five. A wider view also reveals that seven out of the top 10 teams in the rankings come from the Eastern Conference.
Nashville's next opponent has been on the rise as well. Saint Louis FC moved up five spots into 19th place in the rankings after winning its first match since July 27. However, Saint Louis has a heavy schedule this week with a Wednesday match against Ottawa Fury FC followed by the clash with Nashville just three days later at West Community Stadium.
