In the top of the ninth, Brett Vertigan of Nashville hit a three-run double to tie the game at 7 and forced extra innings. Neither team scored in the 10th but Nashville scored four in the 11th to fight off Salt Lake 11-8. Ackley finished 3-for-5 with three RBI.
