WesBanco Buck Surprises Easter Seals Students

WesBanco Buck made a surprise stop at the Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center Wednesday morning.

The class of Easter Seals preschoolers at summer camp was on-hand for pictures and quality time with Buck. Buck and the students posed, high-fived, and smiled for the cameras that Easter Seals provided.

He visited a classroom filled with students, teaching aides and administrators, all of whom seemed energized by his visit.

Choruses of laughter and chants of "Buck!" matched the vibrant atmosphere of the camp. His visit ended the camp day but the students, many of which have visited the center before, gave him quite the sending-off.

"We are glad that he [Buck] could come," commented communication director Emily Horef.

Easter Seals focuses on improving functionality in children while still maintaining a sense of equality. Many of the summer camps, the preschool, and daycare are comprehensive programs with students of all ability levels.

"Our programs are all-inclusive," explained communication director Horef.

Among their various programs, Easter Seals provides non-traditional forms of treatment such as Wii Therapy and Ride with Pride, a program focusing on horseback-riding as a form of physical therapy.

The Nailers open their 19th season of hockey in the Ohio Valley on October 15th against the Toledo Walleye at 7:35 pm. 2010-2011 season tickets packages are on sale now. Call 304-234-GOAL (4625) to order yours today.
