Mystics Sign Didi Richards to Training Camp Contract

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Washington Mystics announced today that they have signed guard/forward DiDi Richards to a training camp contract.

"DiDi will bring a tremendous energy, intensity, and variety of skill sets to our team at both ends of the floor," said Mystics General Manager Mike Thibault. "On offense, she can play on the wing and at point guard, and she can defend both guards and forwards."

Thibault continued, "Her love for the game is infectious. We are excited to welcome DiDi to the Mystics."

The Cypress, Texas, native has appeared in 19 games (all starts) for the Sydney Flames of the Women's National Basketball League (Australia) during the 2023-24 season, averaging 12.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.2 steals while shooting .492 from the field.

Richards (6-2) has appeared in 45 career games with the New York Liberty. She owns career averages of 2.3 points and 1.3 rebounds in 11.1 minutes per game.

The Baylor product was selected with the 17th overall pick by the Liberty in the 2021 WNBA Draft.
