First place Chicago broke a 3-3 tie midway through the fourth quarter to defeat the Harrisburg Heat 6-3 at the Sears Center.
The Heat, decimated by injuries, used only 10 field players but battled strong with two goals
from Derrick Long (Conrad Weiser) and one goal by Marcos Chantel.
Joshio Sandoval broke the 3-3 tie at 5:30 of the 4th quarter for the Mustangs.
Tim Mehl had 12 saves in the loss, the Heat's 12th in a row. The Heat wrap up the 5 game road trip next Sunday in Detroit.
Earlier in the day the team announced it traded Lucio Gonzaga to Ontario (CA) for cash considerations prior to the trade deadline. Gonzaga was not with the Heat on its current midwest trip.
