Ontario Fury News Release

The Ontario Fury, Driven by Mark Christopher Chevrolet, opened its four-game road trip by beating the Dallas Sidekicks 9-7 at the Allen Events Center on Friday night.

Ontario got two goals apiece from captain Tiguinho and former Dallas player Shaun David, as it never trailed in the game. Tiguinho led the team with three points on the night, with the two goals and one assist.

Newly-signed Ulises Mosqueda (Fontana Kaiser High School, UC Riverside) opened the scoring with his professional goal 7:57 into the game. After Dallas equalized it to end the first quarter, Ontario opened up a 4-2 halftime lead, with Mauricio Salles, Israel Sesay and Robert Tornel (Riverside) tallying for the Fury.

Dallas chipped away throughout the game, but could only close the gap as to one goal once the rest of the game, scoring the first goal of the third quarter to close the score to 4-3.

But Ontario scored the next one, as Stephen Basso tallied at the end of a power play, and the teams each scored four goals in the fourth quarters to end the game.

Ontario now travels to Hoffman Estates, Ill., for a game Sunday against the Chicago Mustangs. The game will kickoff at 1:05 p.m. PST and can be watched live on GoLiveSportsCast.com.
