Fury to Enclose Field in Plexiglass
February 9, 2022 - Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) - Ontario Fury News Release
In response to various episodes that have taken place throughout the league in recent weeks and per ongoing discussions with the MASL's safety committee, the Ontario Fury has decided to enclose the entire field of play with plexiglass for the protection of our fans, players, and game officials. While we understand that this move may detract from the intimate experience our fans have come to love as part of attending a Fury game, this precautionary measure will be in place for the next couple of games as the new safety commission continues to find alternative solutions that may better serve the safety of the fans, players, and game officials.
We, as an organization, are cognizant of the fact that close interaction with the game and players is an important element of the fan experience. Therefore, upon the completion of each game in which these safety measures will be in place, fans will be invited to come onto the field of play so as to interact with your favorite Ontario Fury players.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we move through this process in conjunction with the counsel of the MASL safety committee.
