Ottawa 67's News Release
The Ottawa 67's have announced that as of 2:00 p.m. today there are 3,000 tickets left for this Friday, January 28th, 2004 when the 67's play the Peterborough Petes at 7:30 p.m. and less than 2,000 remaining for Sunday's game against the Mississauga Icedogs at 2:00 p.m.
Friday night the Ottawa 67's will welcome the Ottawa Youth Orchestra as they perform a free one-hour concert prior to the game in Salon A of the Civic Centre. The concert will begin at 6:00 p.m. and is free for any fans who have a ticket to see the 67's take on the Petes.
Sunday afternoon is Greek Day at the Civic Centre and one lucky fan could win a trip to Greece thanks to District Realty if Ottawa 67's centre Peter Tsimikalis is able to score a hat trick. Fans can fill out a ballot to be a part of the draw on the concourse behind Section 19 and when Tsimikalis scores his third goal, the draw will be made and the winner announced. Other attractions with a definite Greek flavor on Sunday will have the Zorba dancers on the concourse before the game and during both intermissions, gyros for sale at selected concession stands as well as Greek food samples for fans on the way out after the game.
The Ottawa 67's are in first place in a very close East Division race and second place overall in the Eastern Conference. Ottawa is awaiting the return of three players from Tuesday night's OHL All-Star game in Peterborough as Corey Locke, Pierre Mitsou and Will Colbert all took part. Ottawa boasts a 14-5-2-2 record at home coming in to Friday's game and has not lost at home to Peterborough this season.
Ottawa 67's ticket prices are one of the lowest in the OHL. Children 12 years old and under can enjoy affordable hockey action for only $10.00 per game, adults can take in a game for only $13.00 and students and seniors can watch for only $12.00. To purchase tickets, fans may visit the Ottawa 67's Store on Bank St. Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays; or call 755-1166 or visit www.ticketmaster.ca.
