Spirit Captain Paul Bissonnette appeared in the OHL All-Star game in Peterborough on Tuesday. Bissonnette is a veteran of such big games, including an MVP performance for Team-Orr in the 2003 CHL Top Prospects game.

Friday, 1/30 7:00 PM v. Toronto St. Michael's Majors (24-17-5-2)

Toronto goaltender Justin Peters tied for 6th in the OHL with a 2.58 goals against average He is considered the 2nd best, draft-eligible goalie in the OHL by NHL central scouting, and fourth among North American goaltenders.

This is the only appearance for St. Mike's in Saginaw this season.

Saturday, 1/31 7:00 PM v. Owen Sound Attack: (20-18-7-4)

Saginaw is 0-2 with the Attack this season, with a 4-0 loss on 10/25 and a 3-2 loss on 12/19. The Attack are tied for last place in the Mid-West conference, despite being over .500, and are fighting with Erie, Windsor and Sault Ste. Marie for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

Their team includes the league's 7th leading scoring defenseman, Mark Giordano, and 2nd & 3rd leading rookie scorers Bobby Ryan and Stefan Ruzicka (3rd round PHI pick, 2003 NHL draft). Goaltender Dan LaCosta is 8th in the league for goals against average at 2.70 going into the weekend, and ranked 3rd best among OHL goalies for the NHL draft, 5th overall among North American goaltenders.
