
Musgrave Pitches Nuts to Series Victory

Modesto, CA. - Harrison Musgrave was dominant in the Modesto Nuts' 7-2 win over the San Jose Giants in the rubber game of a three-game set on Wednesday night at John Thurman Field.
Musgrave (W, 8-1) worked into the eighth inning and allowed just two runs, one of which came in after he left the ballgame. The lefty allowed just two hits in the first seven innings. He came out to start the eighth and allowed a single before a RBI double knocked him out of the game.
The Nuts (32-34) got one run off Giants (28-38) starter Jason Forjet (L, 2-2). It was a solo home run by Jordan Patterson. Forjet struck out four in five innings.
In the sixth, the Nuts got to the Giants' bullpen. Ryan McMahon cracked a RBI double. Rosell Herrera added a RBI single. In the seventh the Nuts took advantage of two Giants errors to plate three unearned runs. Cesar Galvez had a RBI single in the inning. Correlle Prime whacked a two-run single after the inning was extended on an error.
