
Murray, Babinski Sign ECHL Contracts

Ralston, NE - Two more former Omaha Lancers signed professional contracts following their collegiate careers. Jimmy Murray inked a deal with the Atlanta Gladiators while Kenny Babinski signed with the Alaska Aces.
Babinski played a total of 142 games in the span of his four-year career with the Bulldogs. The forward helped Ferris State University to it's first-ever WCHA Championship in a victory over Minnesota State-Mankato. In his senior season, Babinski played in 36 games and picked up 14 points on 10 goals and four assists. He finished his career with 52 points on 29 goals and 23 assists.
In two years with the Lancers, the Midland, MI native scored 19 goals and 22 assists in 77 games played from 2010-2012. In five playoff games, Babinski added two goals and an assist.
Jimmy Murray also played four full seasons in his collegiate career. The Darien, IL native collected 39 points in 40 games this year for St. Cloud State University. Murray's 26 assists ranked third on the SCSU team while his 39 points were fourth best. In 155 games, Murray compiled 97 total points. In his first professional game with the Gladiators, Murray scored in a win over the Florida Everblades.
Murray played 60 games with the Lancers in the 2011-2012 season and broke out for 19 goals and 49 assists for 68 points. In four playoff games that season, Murray tacked on two goals and an assist in the first round.
