Mark Miller off to Fast Start with ECHL's Rapid City Rush

Ralston, NE - Since signing with the Rapid City Rush in the ECHL, former Lancers forward Mark Miller is off to a fast start. He has six points in his first five games after a four-year career with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Miller, a 23-year-old from Massena, New York, signed with the Rush after four seasons at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Miller skated in 136 contests over the course of four seasons with the Engineers, registering 22 goals and 24 assists for 46 points.

Before college, the 5'11'' 185-pound forward played two seasons with the Omaha Lancers from 2010 to 2012. In that span, Miller recorded 16 goals and 14 assists for 30 points in 116 games.

So far, in five games with Rapid City, Miller has put in four goals and added two assists for six points. His first point, an assist, came in his first game against the Alaska Aces. Miller scored his first professional the next night against the Aces and now has scored in four-straight games.

The Rapid City Rush are the ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Arizona Coyotes.
