Everett, WA - December 5, 2005: Everett Silvertips forward Peter Mueller was selected by USA Hockey to play for Team USA at the 2006 World Junior Championships in Vancouver, British Columbia from December 26 to January 5.

The Bloomington, Minnesota native is currently 2nd on the Silvertips in scoring with 11 goals and 16 assists in 27 points in 27 games in his first season in the WHL. Mueller is also ranked 4th in the WHL in Rookie Scoring and was named the WHL Player of the Week in late October. On the USA 22-man roster, Mueller is one of two 17 year olds to make the squad.

"We are very happy for Peter on making the US Junior National Team," mentions Silvertips Director of Hockey Operations and Head Coach, Kevin Constantine. "It is rare for a 17 year old to play on a World Junior team and it is quite an accomplishment for how young he is. We will be watching the World Junior Tournament very closely and wish Peter the best."
