NEWS & NOTES: - Fourth Inning Dooms Mudcats - The Dash scored four runs in the fourth inning of their 7-2 win over the Mudcats. Winston-Salem has scored first in both games of the series this weekend.

- Playing with Fire - The Mudcats bullpen has allowed only two runs in nine innings, and notched 11 strikeouts. However, the relievers have issued 15 walks, including seven on Saturday night.

- Stay Hot! - Through two games, Tyler Holt and Jesus Aguilar are batting .444 (4x9). Both have produced runs as well, driving in three apiece. Giovanny Urshela and Ronny Rodriguez are hitting over .300.

- Struck Him Out Swinging! - Cody Allen had a stellar debut in relief for Carolina. The right-hander fanned five hitters while facing the minimum over two innings.

- Stolen Base Count - Delvi Cid stole his first bag of 2012 in the 4th inning of the Mudcats' 11-2 win over the Dash. Cid has led or been in the top five of the Indians' farmhands for pilfered bases every year since 2009. He has 168 career stolen bases.

- Carolina features five players named top-30 prospects by Baseball America. The group is led by infielders Tony Wolters (7), Ronny Rodriguez (13) and Jesus Aguilar (25). Catcher Jake Lowery (27) and starting pitcher Mike Rayl (17) round out the list.
