Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs News Release

BOSSIER CITY, LA - Tomorrow night at the CenturyTel Center, it's a battle for first place as the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs host the division rival Oklahoma City Blazers at 7:05 pm, presented by International Used Truck Center of Shreveport.

Bossier-Shreveport and Oklahoma City are deadlocked at the top of the Northeast Division, meaning the winner of Tuesday's game will be in sole possession of first place in the division standings. The ‘Bugs and Blazers only meet four times this year, making each one of their head-to-head contests even more pivotal in the Northern Conference playoff race.

Oklahoma City came from behind three different times to force overtime in the first meeting between the two teams, which took place just over two weeks ago at the Ford Center. The Mudbugs held three separate one-goal leads in the game, but the Blazers rallied to tie the score each time, eventually winning the shootout 1-0 to come away with a 4-3 victory in the game. Following Tuesday's matchup, the teams will meet only two more times this season.

This game is the third of a seven-game Mudbugs homestand, which continues this weekend as well with another game against the Blazers on Friday night and then the rival Texas Brahmas will come to town Saturday night.

Group and flex ticket packages for all Mudbugs home games are available through the team office inside CenturyTel Center or by calling 318-752-BUGS.
