Odessa Jackalopes News Release
(Odessa, TX) - It was a five point week for the Odessa Jackalopes as they hosted three games to close out their home stand against Rio Grande Valley and Corpus Christi.

This week's games: Friday @ Mississippi, Saturday @ Wichita
Tuesday vs. Corpus Christi, 7-2 Win
A four-goal first period and four power play goals in the game powered the Jacks' offense to a 7-2 win. Kory Karlander and Dominic Leveille each scored two goals in the game, Leveille finished with four points. Jeremy Symington was the first star of the game with 32 saves for the Jacks.
Friday vs. Corpus Christi, 4-1 Win
Odessa swept the back to back games vs. Corpus with a 4-1 win. Sebastien Thinel and Dominic Leveille both scored third period goals to open the three goal lead for Odessa, who led just 2-1 entering the third period. Three of the Jacks four goals came on the power play.
Saturday vs. Rio Grande Valley, 4-3 Loss (OT)
Brian Swiniarski tied the game at 3-3 with a third period goal, and his second of the game, to force overtime. Rio Grande's Jay Hardwick slipped the game winner past Alexandre Vincent at 2:11 of overtime for the Killer Bees win, but Odessa still earned a point in the standings. Both of Odessa's OT losses at home this year have been to Rio Grande Valley.
Friday @ Mississippi, 7:05 PM
Friday will be the first of three season meetings against Mississippi. Last season the Jackalopes went 2-0-0 against Mississippi winning the first game, 6-0 and the second, 6-5. Goalie, Kevin Beech has been one of the CHL's best in net this year going 21-10-2 with a 2.35 GAA. The Riverkings are 10-3-2 in their last 15 games.
Saturday @ Wichita, 7:05 PM
It's the first of two season meetings between the Jacks and Thunder. Last year Odessa split two games vs. Wichita losing 3-2 in overtime and winning 3-0. Jason Duda leads Wichita with 39 points (14 goals, 25 assists) and a +10 rating. Both teams will meet again on March 14th in Wichita.
With 20 games left in the regular season the Odessa Jackalopes are tied with the Texas Brahmas for the number one playoff seed in the Southern Conference and the second-best record overall in the CHL at 30-10-4. 11 of the Jacks' final 20 games will be played at home.
