
Mudbugs blank RiverKings 3-0

John DeCaro made 31 saves as the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs shutout the Mississippi RiverKings tonight 3-0 at CenturyTel Center.
DeCaro recorded his 10th shutout of the season as the Mudbugs improved to 39-9-4 on the season, increasing their league-leading point total to 82.
The Mudbugs grabbed a 1-0 lead with 3:46 left the first period thanks to a deflection by Brett Smith for his 22nd goal of the season. However, they would not score again until midway through the third period, when Chris Brassard scored his 24th of the year at 10:38 and Karlis Zirnis netted his sixth at 11:17.
Ian Keserich made 25 saves for the RiverKings, who remained in fourth place in the Northern Conference at 29-19-2 for 60 points.
The RiverKings and Mudbugs will get together on Tuesday at the DeSoto Civic Center at 7:05 p.m. The pre-game show will begin at 6:55 p.m. on Sports 56 WHBQ. Meanwhile, Beef O'Brady's in Southaven will host RiverKings Roundup on Monday. Those who can't make it can listen live on WHBQ at 7 p.m.
