Arkansas Travelers News Release
Arkansas Traveler second baseman Ryan Mount has been placed on the 7-day disabled list with a right wrist sprain. The 22-year-old left Friday's game against the Northwest Arkansas Naturals after fouling off a pitch in the third inning. He took one more pitch and then decided to come out of the game, replaced by infielder Kevin Ramos.
Mount is batting .261 on the season with three home runs and 18 RBIs with a .968 fielding percentage and team-high 109 assists at second base.
Ivan Contreras has been transferred to Arkansas from extended spring training to take Mount's place. The switch-hitter split time between Class-A Cedar Rapids and Rookie-League Orem in 2008, batting. 189 in 22 games in Class-A.
