
Motor City Sweeps Birmingham with 133-115 Victory

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Birmingham Squadron dropped Sunday's second game of a back-to-back against the Motor City Cruise, 133-115, at Legacy Arena at the BJCC.
Two-way guard Dereon Seabron paced Birmingham (7-10) in the scoring column with 24 points on 7-of-14 shooting. Off the Squadron bench, Tevian Jones scored 19, while E.J. Liddell dropped 17.
Motor City (9-7) was led by Buddy Boeheim's 30-piece while Jared Rhoden scored 21. Two Cruise players, Jayce Johnson (17 points, 15 rebounds) and Zavier Simpson (13 points, 10 assists) registered double-doubles.
Motor City is now 2-0 all-time against the Squadron.
Birmingham returns to the hardwood Thursday night at Westchester to take on the Knicks. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. and the game can be seen locally on My68 or nationally on ESPN+.
