Mother Nature Wins Rubber Match on Thursday

Moosic, Pa. - Persistent rains and the forecast for more forced the postponement of the SWB RailRiders (Triple-A/New York Yankees) and Lehigh Valley IronPigs on Thursday night at PNC Field. The RailRiders and IronPigs will square off in a doubleheader on Thursday, August 27. The twin bill will feature two seven-inning games. First pitch of game one is set for 5:35 p.m. and game two will follow 30 minutes after.

The RailRiders welcome the second-place Rochester Red Wings (Minnesota Twins) to PNC Field on Friday night. New York Yankees' right-hander Michael Pineda (0-0, 0.00) will make a rehab start for SWB. He will oppose the Twins' top pitching prospect, right-hander Jose Berrios (3-2, 3.38). The game will also feature a postgame fireworks show.
