Pigs Try to Take Series from RailRiders

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will try to take the series from the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders on Thursday night at PNC Field. First pitch of the rubber match is set for 7:05 p.m.

LHP Jesse Biddle (2-3, 5.91) gets the ball for the Pigs in the series finale. The Philadelphia native was tagged with the loss on August 13 at Syracuse after allowing seven runs (six earned) on nine hits while walking three and fanning three over 3.2 IP. Over his last 3 GS, Biddle is 0-3 with an 8.40 ERA. The southpaw is making his second start of the year against the RailRiders. Back on July 28 at PNC Field, Biddle was dealt the loss after giving up two runs (one earned) on one hit while walking five and fanning four in five innings of work.

RHP Kyle Davies (8-7, 3.41) will make the start for manager Dave Miley's squad on Thursday night. On Saturday at Rochester, the right-hander took the loss when he surrendered three runs (one earned) on five hits to go along with four strikeouts over 6.1 IP. In his last five starts, Davies is 2-1 with a 1.62 ERA.

Pigs OF Jordan Danks has now hit safely in his last seven games. Over that span, Danks is hitting .346-1-5 with three doubles and four runs scored.
