Belleville Bulls News Release

BELLEVILLE, ON - The Belleville Bulls are ready to take on another East Division rival on Wednesday night. For the first time this season the Ottawa 67's, who are on a two game losing skid, will enter the Yardmen Arena. Wednesday's match up will be the first of three meetings in only eleven days for the two clubs. The Bulls are riding the momentum of a road win last weekend against the top team in the OHL, the Erie Otters. Puck drop is set for 7:05.

After a fairly slow start to the season, the 67's have turned it around of late going six for eleven throughout the month of November. Ottawa is led by 1996-born centre Dante Salituro, who has potted 17 goals and added 10 helpers in 24 games played thus far. Right-winger Travis Konecny has pitched in with 9 goals and 13 assists in 24 games played as well.

Forward Jeremiah Addison scored two goals in Ottawa's most recent loss to the Kitchener Rangers last weekend. Etobicoke, Ontario native Liam Herbst is currently among the top netminders in the league as he owns a 2.80 goals against average.

Over the weekend the Bulls announced that over age 20-year-old defenceman Adam Bignell is returning to the squad. The stay at home defenceman has been playing in his first year of OUA hockey for the Waterloo Warriors. The six-foot, 185-pound Kitchener native appeared in 229 regular-season games for Belleville from 2010-14, plus 27 playoff contests.

"Adam brings many of the things we've been missing," said Burnett. "His hard, gritty play and the ability to play big minutes will help stabilize our blueline."

With the addition of Bignell the Bulls may move Stephen Harper and David Tomasek back up to forward. The two have been filling in on the blue line this season. Bignell will make his season debut on Wednesday night.

Green Valley, Ontario native Remi Elie, who continues to lead the club in scoring, was recently invited to the Canadian National Junior Team selection camp. The Dallas Stars prospect has posted 11 goals and added 18 assists in 27 games played.

The Bulls will look to keep things rolling after snapping a seven game losing skid in Erie last weekend.
