Belleville Bulls News Release

OSHAWA, ON - The Belleville Bulls and the Oshawa Generals will meet for the third time this season on Friday night. After dropping their last two games, the Bulls will be looking for answers against a very talented East Division rival. The Generals won back-to-back games over the Bulls the last time these two clubs met and will look to add another to their current 6 game win streak.

The Gens lead the OHL's Eastern Conference with 35 points. Vancouver Canucks prospect Cole Cassles, a

6-foot centre, has put up 10 goals and 25 assists in 20 games played. Veteran Michael Dal Colle is not far behind with 13 goals and 19 helpers in 16 games played. North Bay native Ken Appleby continues to lead all OHL goaltenders with a 1.99 goals against average.

Four Oshawa Generals players, Cassels, Dal Colle, Mitchell Vande Sompel, and Appleby, represented Team OHL in the SUBWAY Super Series this past week.

"We understand the task is a tall one, they are the best team in our league right now. We had a good game in there a couple of weeks ago, came up short in a shootout but we need to build off of the good effort that we put forward and make sure that we are ready to play when the puck drops." said Head Coach George Burnett Friday morning.

The Belleville Bulls, who are third in the Eastern Conference, lost back-to-back games last weekend. The Bulls fell 4-1 in our nation's capital on Friday night before coming up short to the Guelph Storm on Saturday night at home.

Forward Remi Elie, and defenceman Jordan Subban also represented Team OHL in the SUBWAY Super Series on Monday night and the pair continue to lead their club in scoring. Elie has posted 11 goals and 15 assists in 21 games played and the leagues leading defenceman, Subban has also buried 11 goals and has picked up 13 assists. Netminder Charlie Graham, who recently made 50 saves in a loss to the Guelph Storm, leads all goaltenders with a .930 save percentage and continues to be very strong between the pipes of late.

Over-ager Brett Welychka and left winger Chad Heffernan return to the line up tonight after missing a handful of games due to upper body injuries.

Puck drop from the GM Centre is 7:35pm. You can get full play-by-play coverage with Jack Miller on 800 CJBQ. Don't forget to follow along on twitter (@OHLBulls) for all game updates.
