Another winning week and some history topped off Week 9 of the 2004-05 United Hockey League season for the Rockford IceHogs. Head Coach Steve Martinson won career game 450 and center Olivier Proulx tied a franchise mark with a goal in five-straight contests to help lead the Hogs to wins over Quad City and Muskegon. Also on Saturday, generous IceHogs fans donated over 850 stuffed animals during the Hogs Fifth Annual Teddy Bear Toss. Rockford will hit the road for three of four games this week, concluding with a Sunday afternoon game against the expansion Motor City Mechanics.

Transactions
-IceHogs forward Blake Stewart was released on Monday, December 6.
-Defenseman Kevin Klein was re-called by the Milwaukee Admirals on Monday, December 6.
-Forward J.F. Dufour was activated from the 7-Day Injured Reserve on Friday, December 10.
-Defenseman Eric Skaug was activated from Team Suspension on Friday, December 10.

Head Coach Steve Martinson won his career game 450 on Saturday against Muskegon.
Center Olivier Proulx tied an IceHogs franchise record with a goal in five-straight games.
Winger Eric Labelle has a penalty in 11 straight games, accumulating 98 PIM's. The streak is one shy of the franchise record held by Kevin Holliday, and is the longest in the UHL this season.
Labelle also leads the circuit with 197 PIM's and 17 major penalties.
Rockford will play five of their next six games on the road. The IceHogs have the top road win percentage in the UHL (.722). The IceHogs 11 road wins ties them for the most home wins in the UHL.
Rockford is 17-0-3 when allowing four or less goals in a game this season and are 0-6-0 when allowing five or more goals.
The IceHogs have held opponents to two-goals or less in 14 of 26 games this season.
Defenseman Nathan Lutz leads the IceHogs with 79 shots on goal.
Hot Hog: Week 8
Center Olivier Proulx: For the second straight week the IceHogs pesky forward is the club's nominee for UHL's Player of the Week. Proulx had a goal and an assist in Friday and Saturday's wins and also tied an IceHogs franchise record with a goal in five-straight games.
Upcoming Games:
Wednesday, December 15 at Motor City Mechanics. Game time is 6:30 p.m. Rockford's Central Division binge continues when the club travels to Fraser, Michigan. The trip is the third of four on the season to Motor City and begins a stretch of three-straight on the road for the Hogs.
Friday, December 17 at Port Huron Beacons. The puck drops at 6:05 p.m. The Hogs and Beacons meet up for the third time this season and second in Port Huron. The Beacons are revamped with the return of Jason Firth and a stingy defense.
Saturday, December 18 at Fort Wayne Komets. Face-off is 6:30 p.m. Rockford's only Western Division game of the week is back in Fort Wayne. The two teams have hooked up three times already this season and the Hogs will look to avenge a loss suffered in their last meeting.
Sunday, December 19 vs. Motor City Mechanics. Start time is 1:05 p.m. Motor City is also Rockford's next home game! The Hogs return home from a three-game road swing to face off against Motor City for the final time at home this season. Sunday is another Family Four Pack Day at the BOB. That's four tickets, four hot dogs and four soft drinks for only $40.

Fans can meet, chat and ask questions about Hogs hockey to IceHogs Head Coach Steve Martinson and the IceHogs players at the show. This week Cory Laylin, J.C. Ruid and Terry Harrison will be at the Olympic Tavern.
