More Than 40 Rochester Americans Alumni Scheduled to Attend Home Opener

(Rochester, NY)...The list of Rochester Americans Alumni scheduled to attend the Amerks Home Opener on Thursday, Oct. 13 has surpassed 40 and is expected to climb. The former Amerks players and coaches will participate in a red carpet event starting at 5:30 p.m., then will be introduced on the ice in a pre-game ceremony before the 2011-12 Amerks begin the franchise's 56th American Hockey League season at 7:05 p.m.

Fans are invited to re-live the storied history of the Rochester Americans by watching Alumni enter The Blue Cross Arena on a red carpet, where they will sign autographs and pose for pictures.The list of scheduled attendees includes 13 Amerks Hall of Famers, 13 Amerks Calder Cup champions and 11 former Amerks captains.
