
Aeros Broadcasts Return to 1070 KNTH

HOUSTON (OCTOBER 4, 2011) --- Houston Aeros President David Burke today announced that News Talk 1070 KNTH will return as the flagship radio station for Aeros radio broadcasts for the 2011-12 season. The Aeros are the 2011 American Hockey League (AHL) Western Conference Champions and primary affiliate of the National Hockey League's (NHL) Minnesota Wild.
Joe O'Donnell returns for his fourth season calling the play-by-play action as the Aeros defend the AHL's Western Conference Championship.
"The Aeros are pleased to partner with 1070 KNTH to offer fans throughout the Houston area the chance to follow the action all season long," Aeros President David Burke said. "They have been a tremendous partner of the Aeros and we are pleased to continue that relationship through our radio agreement and with several promotional items throughout the season."
All broadcasts will begin with a 10-minute pre-game show prior to the scheduled puck drop.
"News Talk 1070 KNTH is proud to be the home and away voice of Houston Aeros hockey," KNTH General Manager Chuck Jewell said.
Fans can listen to games on terrestrial radio, online at Aeros.com and via smartphone on the free TuneIn Radio app (search for Houston, then 1070 KNTH).
The KNTH broadcast schedule begins when the Aeros open the regular season at home against the Chicago Wolves at Toyota Center on Sunday, October 9 at 5:05 p.m. Aeros single-game tickets are on sale now at the Toyota Center Box Office and online at Aeros.com.
