Moose Sign Geoff Waugh to Pro Tryout

The Manitoba Moose announced today that they have signed defencemen Geoff Waugh to a professional tryout contract.

Waugh has played in 47 games so far this season with the Victoria Salmon Kings of the ECHL. In that time, the Winnipeg, MB native has scored eight points (2g, 6a) and 74 penalty minutes. Last season, Waugh appeared in 29 games with the Moose where he collected an assist and 41 penalty minutes. He has played in 150 career AHL games in his five-year pro career with Manitoba, Portland, Binghamton, and Springfield. In that time, he's scored 10 points (7g, 3a) and 261 penalty minutes.

Waugh was originally drafted by Dallas in the third round, 78th overall, of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
