Moose Release Prudden From PTO

The Manitoba Moose, the AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, announced they have released centre Josh Prudden from his pro tryout contract. He will now join the Fresno Falcons of the ECHL.

Prudden, 28, appeared in six games with the Moose after signing a pro tryout contract on Feb. 11/08. He scored one goal on Feb. 17/08 into an empty-net versus the Toronto Marlies. He also played in 32 games with the AHL's Worcester Sharks this season, where he scored five goals and four assists for nine points and 14 penalty minutes. Last season, the Andover, MA native split the season between Worcester and the Falcons, tallying nine goals, 31 points, and 34 penalty minutes in 56 games with the Sharks, as well as seven goals, 17 points, and 26 penalty minutes in 18 games with the Falcons. He also added one assist and nine penalty minutes in six playoff games with Worcester last season. In 237 career AHL games with Worcester and the Cleveland Barons, Prudden scored 37 goals and 46 assists for 83 points and 148 penalty minutes.
