HAGERSTOWN, MD -- In just his third game with the Hagerstown Suns (12-15), first baseman Tyler Moore summoned a walk-off win for the Municipal Stadium crowd, singling into left field for the tying and go-ahead runs and securing a 5-4 win over the West Virginia Power (9-21). In the second game of the Sunday doubleheader, West Virginia stormed back for a split, scoring the game's first eight runs on its way to a 9-7 win.

The opener saw Suns second baseman Steve Lombardozzi erase an early 2-0 deficit with a three-run homer in the fifth inning, only to have the Power retake the lead with runs in the sixth and seventh innings. With Hagerstown down to its final at bat, trailing 4-3 in the seven-inning contest, Lombardozzi led things off in the bottom of the seventh with a single to right-center. After Robby Jacobsen walked, all three runners reached safely when Michael Guerrero's pop up was dropped by West Virginia left fielder Quincy Latimore. Two batters later, Moore came to the plate, and picked up his first hit of the afternoon for the game-winner.

Lombardozzi went three-for-seven with three runs batted in over the course of the doubleheader, scoring four runs to raise his team-high total to 19. Moore is batting .357 just 14 at-bats into his Suns career.

The momentum produced by Moore's hit failed to span the 30-minute break between the two games, however, as three West Virginia runs in the first inning, and five more in the third, put Hagerstown in an early 8-0 hole. Designated hitter Derek Norris blasted a grand slam in the bottom of the third to cut that deficit in half, but the Suns could not complete the comeback, and fell to the last-place Power for the second time in three games.

After receiving a game off in the opener, Norris went three-for-four in the second game, raising his RBI total to 23, over twice as many as any teammate. It was also a good day for the other half of Hagerstown's catching platoon, as Sandy Leon got the start behind the plate in both games and gunned down four potential base-stealers at second base over the course of the afternoon.
