Montreal Recalls Yannick Weber from Hamilton

MONTREAL, QC - The Montreal Canadiens announced today that defenceman Yannick Weber has been recalled to the Canadiens from the Hamilton Bulldogs.

Weber, 22, has played 15 games with Hamilton this season and leads all defencemen on the Bulldogs in points with 12 (eight goals, four assists). He also leads all AHL defencemen in goals with eight and is tied for fifth among AHL defencemen in points. The 5-foot-11, 198-pound defender has played eight games with the Canadiens in his career recording one assist and serving six penalty minutes. The native of Morges, Switzerland was drafted by Montreal in the 3rd round, 73rd overall in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

Hamilton will travel to Rochester to battle the Americans for a game tomorrow evening at 7:35 p.m. The 'Dogs will then meet the Toronto Marlies for back-to-back games on Saturday, November 20th at 3:00 p.m. at Ricoh Coliseum and Sunday, November 21st at 1:00 p.m. at Ricoh Coliseum. Sunday's game will be broadcast live on CBC. All regular season Hamilton Bulldogs broadcasts on AM 820 CHAM will begin with a pre-game show 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. All pre-game shows during 'Dogs home games will be broadcast live from the main concourse at Copps Coliseum.
