
Montreal Recalls Ben Maxwell; Assigns Matt D'Agostini To Hamilton

MONTREAL, QC - Montreal Canadiens General Manager Bob Gainey announced today that the club has recalled forward Ben Maxwell from Hamilton and assigned forward Matt D'Agostini to the Bulldogs.
D'Agostini, 23, has played in 35 games with the Canadiens this year recording four points (two goals, two assists) and serving 26 penalty minutes. In 89 career NHL games, the native of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario has posted 25 points (14 goals, 11 assists) and 44 penalty minutes. The 6-foot, 198-pound right wing has skated in a total 159 games with the 'Dogs from 2006-2009 registering 127 points (58 goals, 69 assists) and adding 87 penalty minutes. D'Agostini was selected in the 6th round, 190th overall by Montreal in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
Maxwell, 21, has earned 34 points (11 goals, 23 assists) and 18 penalty minutes in 46 games with the Bulldogs this season. The 6-foot-1, 195-pound centre played in seven games with the Canadiens in 2008-2009 but was held pointless while serving two penalty minutes. The native of North Vancouver, British Columbia was drafted in the 2nd round, 49th overall by Montreal in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
The Bulldogs will travel to Rockford to battle the IceHogs on Wednesday, January 27th at 8:05 p.m. EST.
