Phantoms Recall Trent Daavettila From Kalamazoo

ROCHESTER, NY - The Adirondack Phantoms, proud AHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, announced today that the team has called up center Trent Daavettila from the ECHL's Kalamazoo Wings and signed him to a professional tryout contract.

Daavettila, 26, returns for his second stint with Adirondack this season, after making his AHL debut at the Glens Falls Civic Center on November 27th vs. Hershey. The Howell, MI native played in 11 total games with the Phantoms, recording two assists and zero penalty minutes. Daavettila started the season with Kalamazoo (ECHL) and in 25 games this year he ranks fourth on the team with 26 points (11 goals, 15 assists) and has a +7 plus-minus rating. Shortly after his first stint with Adirondack, Daavettila received a two-game AHL call up with the Grand Rapids Griffins, scoring his first career AHL goal in his Griffins debut on January 3rd vs. Lake Erie.

Daavettila is expected to be in the lineup as the Phantoms face the Rochester Americans on Sunday, January 24th at 5:00 pm at Blue Cross Arena; the game will be televised locally on Time Warner Cable Channel 3 (TWC-3). Adirondack returns home on Friday, January 29th as they host the Binghamton Senators for a 7:30 pm face off at the Civic Center.
