Albany Devils News Release

LOWELL, Mass. - Assigned today to the Norfolk Admirals by the Tampa Bay Lightning, Dustin Tokarski made 24 saves for his third shutout of the season and a 1-0 victory over the Lowell Devils on Sunday at the Tsongas Arena.

It would take 52:44 before the game's only goal would be scored as Dana Tyrell was given credit for his first of the season. Jeff Frazee made a stick save of Ryan Craig's shot from the near circle, but the puck popped up in the air and bounced off some bodies in front before sliding off the shoulder of the Devils' net minder and across the goal line.

Frazee finished the contest with 32 saves on 33 shots to fall to 11-10-0 on the season. He has allowed just four goals in his last three starts.

The loss prevented the Devils sweeping from their three-game, three-day weekend and remaining tied for first place in the Atlantic Division with the Manchester. The Monarchs defeated the Hartford Wolf Pack earlier in the day, 6-1, to claim sole possession of the top spot in the division standings.

The Lowell Devils take the ice on Friday, Jan. 29 at 7:00PM as they visit the Hartford Wolf Pack. Go online to AHLlive.com to listen or watch all of the live Devils action. The Devils are next at the Tsongas Arena on Saturday, Feb. 6 when they host the Portland Pirates at 7:00PM. The first 2,000 fans in attendance will receive a Pierre-Luc Letourneau-Leblond Bobblehead, courtesy of Comcast Business Class.
