Sunday in Chicago, it was Montpetit scoring the one that made the difference in a 3-2 victory, plus two more assists on the other Waterloo tallies.

For the weekend, Montpetit had four goals, five assists, and a +6 plus-minus rating. The wins moved the Black Hawks into a fifth place tie in the USHL Eastern Division, two points out of the fourth and final playoff position.

This is the second time Montpetit has earned Player of the Week recognition. During the final week of November, Montpetit had identical statistics in three victories. Last week, he was also selected along with teammate Tyler Barnes to represent Waterloo at the 2010 USHL All-Star Game. Montpetit is in his third season with the Black Hawks and is committed to the University of Nebraska-Omaha for 2010-2011. He is among the top 25 players during Waterloo's junior hockey era in goals, assists, and points.
