Montgomery Biscuits News Release

MONTGOMERY --- Left-handed pitcher James Houser, Jr., has been placed on the Temporarily Inactive List, the Montgomery Biscuits announced Tuesday.

To fill Houser's roster spot, the Biscuits received right-handed pitcher Richard De Los Santos from Durham (AAA - International League).

De Los Santos began the season in the Montgomery bullpen, posting a 1-2 record with a 2.41 ERA in 20 appearances before he was promoted to Durham on June 3. With the Bulls, the 23-year-old reliever went 1-1 with a 7.20 ERA in six games.

Houser returned to his hometown of Sarasota, Florida, due to a family emergency. The southpaw was expected to start the opening game of the Biscuits' four-game series at Mobile on Wednesday. The starter for that game is now TBA.

Montgomery's roster presently consists of 24 active players, one player on the Disabled List and one player on the Temporarily Inactive List.
