SEASIDE, California - Monterey Bay F.C. hosts fellow expansion side Detroit City FC at Cardinale Stadium in Week 19 of the 2022 USL Championship regular season on Saturday, July 16. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. PT and can be streamed live on ESPN+.

Connections: Detroit City FC forward Billy Forbes has several connections to several members of Monterey Bay. Forbes spent the 2018 campaign as teammates with Union forwards Chris Cortez and Jason Johnson at Phoenix Rising FC. Forbes was then teammates with Cortez again in 2021 with Miami FC. Prior to that however, he spent the 2019 at San Antonio FC with Union defender Kai Greene.
Additional connections include Detroit defender Deklan Wynne, midfielder Brad Dunwell, and Union midfielder Arun Basuljevic, who played together at OKC Energy in 2021 and Detroit forward Antoine Hoppenot and Union midfielder Sam Gleadle, who shared the pitch in 2018 at Reno 1868.
