
Legion FC Signs Forward Sadik Balarabe

BIRMINGHAM, AL - Birmingham Legion FC announced today the signing of forward Sadik Balarabe, pending the finalization of a P1 visa and International Transfer Certificate (ITC).
"Sadik is another attacking piece that we're excited to bring to Birmingham," said Jay Heaps, Legion FC President & General Manager. "He is a talented, versatile forward with experience and ability that will complement the players we have in our group."
Born in London, England, Balarabe came through the Reading academy ranks before moving to the United States in 2011 to play at Jackson College and then Saginaw Valley State University. While in the States, the forward made five appearances in USL League Two with the Chicago Inferno.
Balarabe kicked off his globetrotting professional career in January 2015 in Greece for Iraklis Psachna, then played in Portugal, Turkey, Cyprus, Spain, England and again in Cyprus and in total scored 66 goals in 160 appearances. While with Mağusa TGSK across two different stints in 2018-19 and then 2021-22, the Englishman won the league and league cup twice each, while also finishing as the Cypriot Cup Golden Boot winner in 2019 and 2022.
