
Monarchs Sign Crowder

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have signed center Paul Crowder to a professional tryout agreement, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today.
Crowder, 26, has appeared in 37 games for the ECHL's Wheeling Nailers this season while tallying 34 points (12-2234) and 28 penalty minutes. The Victoria, British Columbia native started the 2010-11 season with the ECHL's Utah Grizzlies registering five goals and eight assists for 13 points in 20 games before being traded to Wheeling on March 1, 2011. Crowder finished the 2010-11 season with the Nailers compiling 11 points (3-811) and 12 penalty minutes in 16 contests. The 6-foot-3, 202 pound center has played in 90 career American Hockey League games with the Hartford Wolf Pack spanning two seasons (2008-10) and recorded 12 goals and 17 assists for 29 points.
The Monarchs will travel to the DCU Center to play the Worcester Sharks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday February 10.
