MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have recalled forward Linden Vey from the ECHL's Ontario Reign, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today.
The 22-year-old rookie has appeared in 18 games for the Kings this season (his first in the NHL), recording five points (all assists) and zero penalty minutes.
The 6-foot, 189-pound native of Wake, Saskatchewan has played in 40 games for the Monarchs this season, recording 44 points (12-3244), 20 penalty minutes and plus-7 rating. His 44 points and 32 assists rank second on the club.
Vey was selected by the Kings in the fourth round (96th overall) in the 2009 NHL Draft.
The Monarchs travel to the Androscoggin Bank Coli see to face-off with the Portland Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9.
