
Penguins Sign Wilson to ATO

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have signed forward Scott Wilson to an amateur tryout agreement (ATO).
The 21-year-old from Oakville, Ontario recently completed his junior season at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, having registered seven goals, 12 assists and 24 penalty minutes in 31 games. In three seasons with the River Hawks, Wilson compiled 39 goals and 56 assists over 108 contests and helped lead the team to consecutive Hockey East championships in 2013 and 2014. Wilson was also named Hockey East Rookie of the Year in 2011-12 after posting 16 goals and 22 assists in 37 games during his freshman seasons.
Wilson was selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the seventh round (209th overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. From 2008-2011, Wilson played for the Georgetown Raiders of the Ontario Junior Hockey League, collecting 129 points (44g-85a) in 104 games.
The Penguins travel to face the Syracuse Crunch on Friday, April 12 at 7:00pm.
