Monarchs Recall James From Bakersfield

MANCHESTER, NH – The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have recalled left wing Connor James from the Bakersfield Condors of the ECHL, Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced on Sunday. James, 22, has appeared in 35 games with the Condors this season. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound native of Calgary, Alberta, has 32 points (13-19=32) and 26 penalty minutes in the 35 games. Selected by the Kings in the ninth-round (279th overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, James leads the Condors with a plus-17 rating and three short-handed goals. He also ranks second on the team with 13 goals and third on the team with 32 points.

James, a rookie out of Denver University (WCHA) who collected 57 goals and 149 points (57-92=149) in 160 games over four seasons (2000-04) with the Pioneers, has appeared in six games with the Monarchs this season collecting no points and eight penalty minutes.

The Monarchs are next scheduled to meet the Lowell Lock Monsters on Sunday, January 30 at 4:05 p.m. at the Verizon Wireless Arena.

Ticket Availability: Singles in the Gold level and single seats in the Silver level remain for the Monarchs Sunday night game against the Lock Monsters.
