
Monarchs Recall Hiebert, Assign Him To Laredo

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have recalled right wing James Hiebert from the ECHL's Phoenix Roadrunners and assigned him to the Central Hockey League's Laredo Bucks, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today.
Hiebert, 24, has played in six games with the Monarchs this season, recording 16 penalty minutes. The 5-foot-10, 195-pound native of Hay River, Northwest Territories, has 24 points (13-11=24) and 158 penalty minutes in 40 games with the ECHL's Reading Royals, as well as, three points (1-2=3) and 14 penalty minutes in 15 games with the Roadrunners this season. In 178 games with the Bucks from 2003-06, Hiebert collected 176 points (57-119=176) and 703 penalty minutes.
The Monarchs continue their longest road trip of the season with a stop in Springfield, Massachusetts, to face the Springfield Falcons on Friday, March 16 at 7:35 p.m. at the MassMutual Center.
