TEAM NOTEBOOK

- The Admirals established a new franchise record for victories in a season after defeating Binghamton on Saturday night for their 44th win of 2006-07, besting the previous mark of 43 wins from the 2004-05 and 2005-06 seasons.

- The Admirals also tied a franchise mark for points in a season with their 94th point on Saturday night, tying them with the 2005-06 Admirals' squad.

- Saturday's win was also Norfolk's 30th home win of the campaign, extending a franchise record. The Admirals are now just three wins away from tying the American Hockey League record for home wins in a single season. The record of 33 home wins is held by the 1987-88 Fredericton Express and the 1998-99 Providence Bruins.

- The Admirals have points in six straight contests since March 2 at Lowell (5-0-1-0)

- With two goals on Friday, Troy Brouwer moved past Rene Bourque (33 goals, 2004-05) and Brandon Bochenski (33 goals, 2006-07) into first place on the Norfolk Admirals all-time single season goals scored list. After adding another goal on Saturday, Brouwer now has 35 goals on the season - good for a third-place tie in the AHL.

- Brouwer is on a four-game goal-scoring streak (6g since 3/4 @ Portland) and an eight-game point streak (9g, 4a since 2/25 @ Worcester). If he scores a goal on Friday versus Bridgeport, he will tie Casey Hankinson's club record for consecutive games with a goal scored.

- Martin St. Pierre became the first Norfolk Admiral ever to 60 assists and 80 points following a three-assist effort on Friday night versus Binghamton. St. Pierre now has 22 goals and 60 assists for 82 points - good for second in the AHL in assists and points.

- Kris Versteeg has points in six straight (1g, 5a) and ten of the last 13 games (1g, 11a).

- Pierre Parenteau is on a five-game scoring streak (3g, 6a) and has points in eight of the last 11 games (6g, 11a). He is currently riding a stretch of three straight games with multiple points (2g, 5a).

MDA JERSEY AUCTION

Thanks to the generosity of their fans, the Norfolk Admirals were able to raise $34,260 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association on Saturday night in their annual MDA Jersey Auction, presented by PAPCO.

Following Norfolk's game against Binghamton, the team auctioned off the players' game-worn jerseys to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Hampton Roads. On Friday and Saturday night, the Admirals donned special black third jerseys with "ADMIRALS" running diagonally across the front. Saturday evening, the jerseys were auctioned off to the highest bidders at center ice. The highest winning bid went for the jersey of #3 David Koci, who made his NHL debut Saturday evening with the Chicago Blackhawks in Phoenix. His jersey sold for $3,550. In total, 24 jerseys (including a team-autographed sweater) and a team-autographed stick were auctioned to benefit the MDA.
