Monarchs Announce Roster Moves

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Manchester Monarchs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations, Rich Seeley, announced today that Justin Agosta has been loaned to the San Antonio Rampage (AHL), and Dean Yakura has been released from his Standard Player Contract.

The Monarchs are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Los Angeles Kings and the American Hockey League's Ontario Reign.

Agosta, 26, heads to the Rampage as the leading scorer among Monarchs defensemen to this point in the season, after scoring 19 points on six goals and 13 assists in 23 games, while adding 23 penalty minutes and a +16 rating.

The 6-foot-3, 201-pound native of East Meadow, NY is making his second career appearance in the AHL after playing eight games for the Charlotte Checkers in the 2015-16 season.

Yakura, 31, leaves the Monarchs after playing two games since being signed Dec. 6. Yakura netted a goal in his Monarchs debut Dec. 7 against the Norfolk Admirals.

The 6-foot, 192-pound native of West Vancouver, British Columbia has logged 78 career games in the FHL with the Titans, Danbury Whalers and Dayton Demonz over parts of the last three seasons, with his best year coming during the 2015-16 campaign when he scored 81 points on 23 goals and 58 assists in 56 games.

The Monarchs are back in action Friday, Dec. 16 (7 p.m.) when they host the Elmira Jackals for the first contest of a two-game weekend series at SNHU Arena.
